The Missing Puzzle Piece for Chronic Orthopedic Pain I had a cervical fusion in 2012 and a low back surgery in 1994. At 56 years old, my joint, muscle, nerve pain increases each year. I had just ordered another MRI and was preparing for the all-too-familiar process to begin again: PT, Epidural Shot series, and finally yet another surgery. My husband and I were mentally preparing ourselves to go through all of this yet again, when we decided to go to a presentation Dr's Jereme and Sarah Trunk were doing in my area. After listening to the explanation of how myofascial addresses the underlying tissue, which is an ENTIRE SYSTEM, my chronic, increasing pain started to make sense. I made an appointment for a session. Starting with the first session, this process of looking/feeling for imbalances THROUGHOUT MY ENTIRE BODY just made sense, since you don't just wake up with orthopedic pain; it comes on over years and years of continued imbalance. After 3-4 treatments with Dr. Trunk, my pain level began to noticeably decrease. Slowly, I began to resume activities I hadn't done in years: yard work, push-ups, etc. I began to feel better and feel happier...like my natural happy self again. I highly recommend trying myofascial with the Trunk Docs. Both of them are down-to-earth, straight forward, patient people. They will give you homework exercises because this is a collaborative effort - I have to continue to do my part to remain in balance and pain-free. Please, if you are considering surgery, try this first. What have you got to lose? What if myofascial prevents you from needing surgery? Myofascial release makes sense intellectually and I know it makes sense physically because of how my body responded. Give it a try. Be well.

Significant decrease in pain! I began treatment with Jereme Trunk in late 2016. Through Jan and Feb of this year I saw him weekly or every other week. I currently see Dr. Trunk every 2-3 weeks. My treatment began with an evaluation and then hands on work. He also taught me self treatment techniques. My body really began to feel the difference after just a few sessions. I have continued with treatment and my pain has decreased by 90%. Dr. Trunk has been patient with me as I learn the self treatment techniques and he has encouraged me to make my self treatment a priority.
